Ready to turn your bulk materials into a custom fit strip door?

Collect the tools listed and follow the guide below to get started on putting together your own strip door.

TOOLS YOU WILL NEED:

  • Strip Template
  • Utility Knife
  • Mallet and Punch

Remember to wear protective gloves and safety glasses when cutting and punching strips!

  1. Measure and Mark

Using a Strip Template, follow the guide of where to punch your 6”, 8”, 12”, or 16” wide strips and mark with a marker. This way, your bulk strips will line up with your hardware properly.

  2. Cut Your Strips

Next, roll out the bulk vinyl material in order to it to the correct length. Measure your strip to the desired length, and cut it with a heavy-duty cutter or utility knife. We recommend that you cut each strip an extra inch or two longer and they tend to shrink slightly, so adding in a little extra length can ensure your door is covered.

  3. Punch

Lastly, use a mallet and punch to create the mounting holes you marked in step one at the top of your rolls. Once you have completed this step you are ready to rock and roll with your new custom strip door!
